November has been a hectic month for me with NaNoWriMo and university work but I managed to read a total of three books.
I gave this book 5/5 stars. It may be a short novel but the way it tells the story of Iris and her Father’s lives is done so well, and the added plot twists at the end are ones you will not see coming. A beautifully unique story I would recommend to anyone.
I love the Geek Girl series by Holly Smale and this Christmas tale takes you back to the first novel in the series. it was lovely to go back and see the characters again at their younger age and relieve some of the romance from the start of the series. If you have read the Geek Girl series I would advise you to read this one before carrying on with the rest of the books. I gave it 4/5 stars.
Another novella, but this time from the 21 year old author Alice Oseman. It is a Christmas story that is very honest about how family life can be during the holiday season. This novella comes before the main book Solitaire but you can read this novella before or after the main story. I gave it 4/5 stars.
