All Wrapped Up (Geek Girl Special) by Holly Smale

4 stars

A sweet, short Christmas novella for this young adult series.

Goodreads: Harriet Manners knows a lot about Christmas.
She knows that every year Santa climbs down 91.8 million chimneys.
She knows that Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer was almost definitely a girl.
She knows that the first artificial Christmas trees were made out of goose feathers.
But this Christmas is extra special for Harriet, because four days ago she had her First Ever Kiss.
Now she just needs to work out what’s supposed to happen next…

I am a big fan of the Geek Girl series and the news of this new Christmas story was like Christmas come early for me.

This novella follows Harriet after the very first book so going back to where it all started and when we first met the characters was brilliant, especially the romance side of this story. However  the reason I gave it four stars and not five was because I feel like we are so far into the Geek Girl series, that going back to the very beginning again with a novella just threw me.  As much as I loved the plot it was hard to go back and remember what happened in the first book in order to enjoy this novel completely.

But with that issue aside I really do think this novella is a great addition to the series and you get to see more from Harriet an Nick’s relationship. It has Geek Girl written all over it and I think all fans of the series will love it. In addition it has also really put me in the Christmasy mood!

Another thing that I really enjoyed with this book is that all of the main characters we are used to in the series were present at some point. Harriet’s parents, dog and best friend, even her stalker Toby and agent Wilbur made an appearance.
